My approach
Therapy is about finding ways to understand and make peace with our inner worlds so that we can navigate life’s challenges with wisdom and resilience. Often, it’s hard to identify what keeps us stuck in emotional or behavioural patterns because we’re too close to our own experiences to see a clear path forward. Therapy provides a space to gain perspective, deepen your understanding of the psychological processes at play, and explore changes that can help you move forward.
As a therapist, my role is to support you in exploring and reflecting on your inner world in ways that lead to meaningful change. Together, we will uncover patterns, gain insight into what makes you tick, and experiment with changes that bring real improvements to your life. This process involves examining the current and historical contexts in which your challenges have developed, as well as the strategies you use to cope with life’s demands.
While there may be immediate issues bringing you to therapy, there may also be longer-term or underlying concerns affecting you. My approach is active, engaged, and collaborative, drawing on various therapeutic ideas and exercises depending on what works best for you.
I’ve worked with people from all walks of life and for many different reasons, including within the NHS. I offer therapy both online and in person in London and Gloucestershire, with the aim of helping you build a fulfilling and balanced life.
